Tom Wiencek did ask:
>Engineer,- What kind?
B.Sc., chemical engineering (it means, I have a driving licence for a
sulphuric-acid plant).
>journalist,-please share some with us
I have written technical articles as my profession about 15 years. They
vary from construction, chemistry, pneumatics, pulping, electronics,
macinery, fieldbus, pumping, hydraulics.... ..to black powder
shooting and Sunbeam sports cars! But, of course, on finnish only.
>cartoonist, - please share some with us
I have used computer for cartoon-drawing about 10 years. At the same time I
have done it by hand, of course. Amount of published strips is 800 - 1000.
I could translate and transform some to GIF, TIFF or something like that,
but I have had no time...
>poemist,- please share some with us
Most of my published poems are rhymes for children. They are translations
from english, french, swedish, even from dutch and italian. As you have
noticed, my english is near to poor, and my talents in other foregin
languages are even worse. But I can finnish, even quite good, and I do my
rhymes mostly basing on the pictures. As children do, when they read
(=hear) those "translations". Once I did some actual, satiric songs for
finnish radio.
>You sound like an interesting person. Of course all Sunbeam owners are
>interesting. : ) Tom
The tragedy is, all persons are interesting, but we don't say it for those,
whose personality would need that "little word" most.
Another tragedy is, that most of you alpinists are personalities I will
never meet. That is why I say again: if anyone of you will visit to
Finland, please, contact me. If the accident of long life hits me, I think
I need friends and memories for those dry last years (when my doctor will
say: "No whiskey, no beer, no memories of blondies, no Sunbeam rides and no
"Get Smart" videos!")
By the way, Maxwell Smart and a SPOT-ON model by Triang (1:42 scale) were
the basic reasons why I did fall in love with this charming little roadster
in 1965, when I was ten years young...
..but it is a story too long!
