From all the replies, it seems that the earlier cars did not have shims. I
wonder if there was some way to pull down on the twin studs on the end of the
windshield to adjjust the angle? Anyone have any comments/experiences? Thank

P. S. Lance-As for the shape of the shims they are probably shown in the parts
book for Series III-V cars. If not I would just cut a slots in washers and
slide them on rather than fabricate the original shape.

Alas, I was not the one to remove the screen or retain any shims(DPO).
Could you perhaps describe the shims? I asked Rick at SS about it and he
had no advice. I will have to fabricate something to make it work.
