I will be there, but I doubt any of my cars will. I took the insurance
off the Series III because I had grand delusions of starting a ground
up restoration. I guess I could drive it, but it has a awful lot of
rust and I am a bit ashamed of its condition. The Series V V6 is
still awaiting a engine/transmission rebuild. I have half the parts,
but the tax man took my funding away, so I can't buy the rest right
now. The Jag is running great (at 14.5 mpg) but again, it looks bad
and I would prefer to wait until it got a facelift before I took it to
any shows.
However, my dad will have his Series IV there and my brother will probably
have his MG there, so lets get together, maybe we can follow each other.
Are there any other South Easterners out there that will also be going? If
we can enlist a few more Alpines, perhaps I will drive the Series III and
sit out front with a can peddling donations for the Save the Alpine
foundation.

BTW, both Ashley and mommy are doing great - thanks for asking; and, her
Honda runs and looks great.

Hi Chris,
Are you going to Chateau Elan on May 10 for the British car show? My
Alpine is in the shop getting brakes, a carb sync, and electical work (in
that order until my budget runs out). I have been doing some other work
myself. I purchased a center grill badge and bars from Gary Schotland
and S.S. but I can't figure out how it goes it. It should be simple and
I may have a "modifed" grill opening. I would like to compare my series
5 to yours after I get it out of the shop. You can check out my car then
too. If not then I hope to find a series 5 at Chateau Elan. How's the
baby? (Are you sleeping yet!)
See ya,
Chris
