I probably should have mentioned that I put most of this together in a couple of
marathon scanning and editing sessions (I never did get the hang of that "do not
put off till tomorrow" stuff). There are probably errors all over the place. If
any one sees any glaring stupidities _please_ let me know so I can fix them.
