On most differentials with conventional covers, its relatively easy
but very dirty. The tiger differentials are a Dana based system and
the cover is easily removed. I don't remember what the Alpine
differential looks like but if it has a removable third member, then
its a much more complicated proposition. You have to remove the
axles and then remove the entire third member (ring gear, pinion and
housing) all together.
