All Series V parts are not necessarily "Chrysler parts." Chrysler didn't
obtain majority and operational control of Rootes until January 1967, well
into Series V production. According to the new Graham Robson book, it didn't
take Chrysler's people long to begin completely phasing out the Series Alpine
once they got control and started replacing management.
Per the Sunbeam Alpine Owners Club - Members Handbook, the Pentastar was
found on all "late Series V's," regardless of market, (probably meaning from
around Jan '67 onwards)
One additional note: the latest annual SAOC Handbook has added a listing of
all Series Alpine production dates, by week. The info was obtained from
records held at the Museum of British Transport, in Coventry.
