Unfortunately I can not tell you much because I purchased the car after
the installation. It has a Capri V6 2.6l (which you cannot find parts
for so I am considering converting it to the 2.8l.) The transmission
tunnel was sacrificed to make the Borg Warner SR4 transmission fit. And
special mounting bracket had to be made for both the engine and
transmission to use the Alpine's existing mounting holes.

A custom exhaust was built and the clutch mechanism was modified to
accept a cable type clutch. Other than a few minor things, these were
the only modifications made to the engine compartment. Currently, the
speedo does not work due to the cable not matching up to the Ford
transmission. This can be easily fixed.

A different rear axle was fitted (I have no idea what this came from)
and adapter plates added to accept the wire wheels. These adapters give the
rear a bit wider stance. So, it is Rootes up top and Ford down under.

All in all, it doesn't seem like a terribly difficult conversion if
someone could manufacture the mounting brackets. As for aftermarket
features, I have been unable to find any. I can't even locate a gasket kit
for it that's why I am contemplating the change to a 2.8l. There is a
Capri site that you can subscribe to and these guys know all about
     performance options.

     Hope this helps,
     Chris
