Folks:
I live in the Colorado Springs area and am facing a move to
Washington DC to rejoin my wife who's there on orders. Wash DC is a crowded
high cost of living area with little space or tolerance for my hobby. Tell
me I'm wrong.
I'm hesitantly offering my project for sale. '67 SV which is
stripped down to the gills with parts bagged and labeled. Comes with 2
engines - a 1500 which didn't belong there, but was running the car and the
1725 which, apparently was rebuilt, installed, and takened on a cross
country w/o proper break-in. The previous owner almost made it to the
Kansas border, I was told. The 1725 still spins, but I haven't had the time
to investigate. A local guy is interested in the 1500 (so, friends, act
now!). Various new bits i.e. brakes hoses, front suspension stuff, new
windshield, well-used Tiger coils, a lowering kit, and 5 Enkei wheels, 4 of
them mounted with aging Yoko A008Rs.
Body is straight with no major bashes to pull out. I've found only
one body rust area which is fore of the left rear wheel well opening for
which I've obtained a repair panel. The right rear must have taken a hit at
one time because another is grafted on to it. The front valance panel is a
puzzle. Amusing front bumper mountings were welded to frame. Some holes
need to be filled that were placed on the fender peaks to mount
bullet-shaped turn twinkies and on the deck, sorry, boot lid to install a
cannon-bore sized back-up light. Typical floor rust does not seem serious
enough to warrant replacement.
This will only be on the market for a short time. I'm at a decision
point whether to be quit of this car or get it blasted, body-repaired, and
painted. My intention is to prepare for vintage racing/auto-x, so if the
car stays I'll still have bits to sell. I'm into this for about $3500
(really) and understand offers will be less than input, but the first person
with a non-insulting offer and a
trailer.........................................

                                        Thanks

                                        Mike
