Well, this is a speech of a poor man -
Once upon a time I arrived to the annual meet of "classic motorcycle club"
of Finland, and my wife was driving Alpine as the back-up team for me.
Later she told me, no-one noticed me or my bike, but some enthustians said:
"Look at that Alpine! No wires or such tricks, it has the real spirit!"
Well, wires were not wery popular in Finland at 60's - heavily salted roads
at cold seasons corroded such jewelery too soon. But I like those dull
steel wheels anyway - maybe it has something to do with my salary??
