I recently purchased 1 Alpine Tiger M1 with a 260 V8, it runs but does need
some body work, and 3 Alpine SV 's, 2 are very rough but have all their
running gear. The other is in very good shape with a solid frame. All for
$5,000 , good??? The problem is that I cannot identify one of the
engines... it has a plate on the drivers side of the engine labled Rootes
Parts Division, the number on it is either 5220499 or B220499. Any ideas...
it has 2 Zenith WIP or WIA carbs. By the way I also have a 67 SV that is
registered and on the road that I purchased for $800. After I part out the
two rough bodies for personal use I will have spare parts for sale. The
unknown engine is in a series V the plate # on the car itself starts B395...
it also has a "star" emblem on the front fender in the area behind the front
wheel. What does that mean??? Give me some history please.
Thanks in advance.
