I am currently getting about 25 miles per gallon in my car with a 1725 cc
motor and the WIA carbs. I didn't always do this well until I put a color
tune on the car and confirmed my suspicion that I was running very rich.
I swapped to the larger choke tubes and the smaller jets and that fixed
most of my problems. Without readily available jets, even if you find a
problem with the colortune, you may have a hard time doing much about it.
You might look to see what size main jet you have (the one screwed into
the bottom of the carb, it simply unscrews). I believe the smaller jet is
a 35 and the larger one is 42. If you have the larger jets and your
colortune shows you are running rich, going to the smaller jets may help
considerably. I will be mailing the carb specs that I have to T.J.
Higgins for posting to the web page next week.
