If I remember correct, mk3 GT had different exthause manifold than
roadster, and that maybe did drop power more than carbs. This info was (?)
in the "Golden Portfolio", but I am not 100 % sure...
Original tube manifold is noisy, and in GT it was replaced with a cast iron
manifold from Rapier. Later Alpine had better flow cast manifold, it was
more silent with no power loss.
Someone remembers sure better than I, soon we will know how it really is...
