Boiling oil

My series 5 overheated today and released coolant from the vent tube. OK,
so I didn't fix the cooling problem quite right. Here's the really bad
part:
The car was running hot at speed, not usually a problem. I went to turn
left at a light and......bub bub bub bub...the engine started sounding like
it was missing. I pulled over to find that it was boiling over. The
kicker is that the pool of cooolant that formed beneath my car had oil in
it. :-( Now after I towed it home, I checked the radiator and didn't
notice any oil in the radiator. Wouldn't it float on top like unmixed
salad dressing?
Also, when towing it home and pulling away from a stop, a bunch of coolant
(water and antifreeze) poured out (sitting in the front cross memeber?) and
it had this ?oil? in it that when I felt it, turned to black sticky tar on
my fingers. The oil in the engine(dip stick) looks clean and is fresh,
didn't notice any water.

What's up with that? Blown head gasket? Where should I start looking to
make sure I don't further damage anything?

To top it all off, when I called the Sunbeam service center they said that
although it got hot enough to cook food, it wasn't a toaster oven or
microwave and they couldn't help me! ;-)

Thanks,

Chris in Hotlanta
