Sunbeam

Sunbeam is one of the oldest and proudest names in the history of British
petrol engines. Their cars were always excellent; their engines were
superb. The first flight across the Big Puddle was powered, after all, by
Sunbeam mills.

The downfall of Sunbeam was its purchase by the first Baron Rootes and its
merger into the Rootes group. At that point, it quit being the private
cars of the Royal Family.

Still, even a late Sunbeam, like my '67 Series V, is a joy to own. Old
traits die hard.
