If anyone would like to try driving on the left without leaving the
U.S., you can take a quick trip to St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
There are some very challenging mountain roads on the island. Not
to mention the living hazards -- wild donkeys, goats, and even cows
roam some streets. Most of the cars there are left hand drive, and the
few thousand people wouldn't add much to Karl's list.
