Here in Queensland, you're allowed to drive LHD cars provided you mount
the sign, but I believe there is a useage restriction. If you want to
use the car as regular transport you have to get it converted.

The signs they use in Qld have to be seen to be believed. They read
"LEFT HAND DRIVE" in huge lettering, and most of the ones I have seen
are mounted on the bumper - if you put them in the window you'd have
trouble seeing out.

It's just one of many ridiculous "road safety" laws. Personally I think
our bureaucrats have too much time on their hands.
