Scott,

I already have the Series I-IV workshop manual and use it religously. I also
have (most of) a Series I-IV parts list. I had never heard of any Series III
only stuff before. The only reason that I inquired was I thought that a Series
III manual would be easier to use and might have more details.

On the subject of parts lists. My copy is missing a few pages. Is there someone
out there who would be willing to photocopy a few pages and mail them to me? I
would be happy to reimburse them for any cost.

Paul and Kurt - while Paul is right, a series 3 only workshop manual
does exist on paper in the Rootes parts lists, I personally have never
seen one in 10 years of searching. I have 3 Rootes workshop manuals,
all covering various series of both Rapier and Alpine, including the
Series 3 Alpine. I have Rootes parts lists for Series I Alpine only,
the Series II supplement, Series I-3 Alpine, and Series I-V. Confusing!
My point? You're more likely to come across a workshop manual that
covers Series I-3 Alpines and Series I-IV Rapiers (most common) than you
are a Series 3 Alpine-only manual. Try the various vendors for
reprints, or try some of the bigger literature guys in Hemmings (Walter
Miller, Faxon's, Bob Johnson, etc.)
