Thanks for the info. I think that's what Jarrid meant (right Jarrid?). I
measured my wheel (with the tyre fitted) by laying the wheel face down,
placing a straight-edge across the back of the wheel so that the
straight-edge sat on the lip that runs around the circumference of the
wheel, then measuring from the back face of the mounting hub up to the
straight-edge. I took Jarrid's statement to mean that I need to subtract the
thickness of the rim where the tyre mounts. This would give me about 3.5in
offset.

Wheel ofset is measured from the inside RIM to the mounting flange, not the
inside of the tire.
