I received the following request for information on, I presume, Castle
shifts for Sunbeam-Talbots. I wonder whether someone else out there
would be better able to fill Alice & Allen in on these conversions than
me.

        In the June '97 issue of "Stardust" on pg 23 was an article on
Modifications to Sunbeam Talbot 90--new linkage to provide a floor
change instead of the standard steering column arrangement. This
article was from "The Autocar" 14 December 1956. We have a 1955 Sunbeam
Mark III and would like to find more information, really more details,
about this modification? Any suggestions?
