Ah!  It all becomes clear now!
        The bumper covers with the rubber contact pads (two on each
bumper) are different I believe between the later series Alpines and the
Imps.  At least the two 65 models that I had of these cars.  Although, I
did not have them at the same time, I believe that the Alpine bumpers
were larger and the covers were a slightly different shape, although
similar.  I could be wrong.  If someone has the parts books, they will
tell the real story in part numbers.
