I would have to agree with Russell, I had a wierd fitting rear boot on
my
61 series II Alpine when I bought it.
It is my understanding from those who have done it, that the SV
parts can be cut to the round corner shape, brazed up and
used on the early cars as well.
It had a curvature beyond the curve or the actual body.
Turns out that the rear end had been clobbered and the boot had been
bent about mid panel.
The fix was to replace the boot, which I gor from a series IV car.
There were minor differences on the inside of the boot, where some
rubbers are used to stop the boots closure, but other than that, the
curve was perfect, and it all looks good now.
