The general concensus here is that going from 1 carb to 2 or 2 to 4,
reduces the average volume per carb by 2, but its the induction "pulses"
that perform the carburettion, so venturi sizes and main jets would be
more or less the same.

Example:

1592 Alpine using twin zenith WIP carbs would have two 29mm venturis
and ~130 main jets.
Put a twin weber setup on the same motor, and you use four 29mm venturis
and ~125 to 130 main jets.

You have twice the carburettor, but the jetting is about the same.
And each of the throttle plates is a tad larger than on the zeniths.

The motor does'nt have to be a hipo, but the driveability is still
great.
