I do know that there are different bell housings. I have a late Series V
full syncro transmission (running the fine spline 7 1/2" clutch on a
lightened flywheel). I bought the "L" shaped rubber boot for the clutch
pushrod and lever arm from Sunbeam Specialties. It did not fit. The hole
in my bell housing was shorter and wider than the rubber piece Rick sells.
Rick could offer no explanation (he did take back the part though). Maybe
the only difference is that hole. I don't have a "long/narrow clutch arm
hole" bell housing to compare it to. Fortunately, my original boot is
still pretty much ok.
