Yes, you should, but . . . I just had a pair turned yesterday. The guy
first looked all around the rotor for a "minimum thickness" spec. Not
finding that, he went to his books, and, naturally, couldn't find a
listing. I told him the rotors were half an inch thick when new, and
had never been turned. He measured 'em, saw that except for all the
little concentric grooves, they had only worn a few thousandth of an
inch, so he went ahead and turned 'em for me.
Last night I looked in both the Alpine and Tiger shop manuals, and
couldn't find a minimum thickness specification for the rotors. Does
anybody have a clue?
