I don't know if there is any interest in something like this, but I have been
doing research, for my job, into real-time chat systems for our Intranet. I have
been specifically looking at Microsoft NetMeeting and Microsoft Comic Chat.
Both of these programs have been able to get through my firewall both give you
the option of setting up a private meeting type atmoshpere and both support IRC,
the Internet standard for chat. If there is interest in setting up some sort
regularly scheduled time to get together and talk real-time let me know and I
would be happy to organize the software and schedule.
