Dick,
after reading some of your posts I have come to the conclusion that
you are quite knowledgeable in the area of engines and all that goes
along with it. It also appears that you may even be in the performance
engine business. With that in mind, have you ever souped up a 1725
engine? Any suggestions, aside from Weber aspiration, for my engine?
How will adding flat-top 1592 pistons (with 1725 rod arms) at .040 over
affect my performance and fuel type usage? I have also heard of
different cam grinds available and porting to the head. Any advice on
cam grinds and porting? What about shaping the combustion chamber at
the head? Do you know how to add larger valves? Is there anything I
can do to my crank? I'd like to get about 150-160hp (more would be
nice, but probably impractical). What is the best (and cheapest) way
to achieve this without sacrificing too much driveability? Any advice
would be much appreciated. BTW, where are you located? I'm in SoCal.
