Some time back there was extensive conversation on whether the SV
cranks were cast or forged.
One person, who claimed to be knowledgable in this field left us with
the following synopsis.
Cast cranks will have a narrrow parting line, and the forged crank will
have a wider parting line.
The SV crank is kind of strange, in that it seems to look like
steel, but be cast anyway.
One of my personal theories is that is may be cast steel.
Could this be possible?
Anyhow, get the testing over with and hit the crank with the hammer.
That should remove all doubts.
