I might assume that Jarrid shares my surprise at seeing complimentary
remarks because we have not resorted to ungentlemanly actions as regards
our search for the truth on steel forged vs. cast iron series 5 crankshafts.
I am regularly on other BBs and email groups and we would never consider
writing things to insult another persons viewpoint.
I suspect you folks have been exposed to some possibly younger and/or
dissadvantaged guys who have grown up in some harsh situations and who tend
to carry over onto the list, their "street backgrounds".
Jarrid has obviously demonstrated long ago, his experience with automotive
matters and Sunbeam technology subjects.
I am sure he would agree, no man knows it all and hardly a week passes
without us all finding some large or small subject on which we had held an
incorrect belief.
I have come into this list recently and am enjoying telling stories about
the past race car events and as well to assist in your technical queries
where I may know something you have not had the opportunity to learn about.
Each one of us could learn from the philosopher who wrote, " Each man I
meet in life is my superior in some way."
From Jarrid (and others) I will learn something new and valuable and I
trust he will be doing the same with me.
At the very least....we all must re-examine our convictions and beliefs to
see if just perhaps...the other guy is RIGHT!
