stuck bolt

I have gotten badly stuck bolts to move by holding a carpenters
nailset on the left hand corner of one of the flat surfaces of the
hex and hitting it with a hammer, so as to drive the bolt counter-
clockwise.

The concentrating of the hammer's force by the small contact
surface of the nailset may be what does it.
