i had my head reworked by a local machine shop about 6 months ago. it
was well done, and the turn around time was great. they refaced all of
the valve surfaces, new guides, glass beaded the works, helicoiled
some stripped holes, and even filled a few bad pits for 200 bucks. they
even put some 90wt on the stems, and put it in a plastic bag for pickup.
i'll find out if they will do mail order work if anyone is interested.
