Sure, I know full well that I am running 4 seperate carbs on my little
4 banger, but of course the next logical progression would be for
me to develop a 16 valve alpine head. The alpine ports, just sort
of hit a brick wall at 8000 RPM, and the biggest valves in the universe
just doesnt fix that.

Thus with 16 valves "8 inlets", I could have 8 seperate ports,
for 8 seperate runners. Of course I would need individual throttles
for each port, one runner on each cyl 3 feet long, and the other runner
1/2 an inch long.

The resultant torque curve would even make the tiger afficionados
drool.

Now where did I leave my prozac?

This just goes to show that it not practical to have generic emmisions
specs for all like vehicles.

I have heard rumors to the effect that our vintage vehicles are
responsible for quite a bit more than there numbers share of road
emmisions. This absolutely fascinates me, having also read that
the manufacture of todays vehicles results in more polution than the
vehicles emmisions through the usefull life of the vehicle.

With all the pastics, and other space age chemicals used in
the processing of todays manufacturing good, its sort of a wonder
why the government doesnt subsidize the continued maintainance
of our cars, I mean after all, it would appear the the dirty little
cars,
polute less anyway right?
