A while back it was asked of the list what kind of tranny fluid to use in the
Borg Warner T35 automatic transmission.
We decided to do some research after hearing that different kinds were in use.
We have a Hanes manual for 1962-1978 MGB which has a section on the Borg
Warner T35 giving general testing and adjustment information and also the
recommended fluid...Castrol TQF. Checking with the local Castrol distributor
we found out it isn't made any more but the equivalent is Type F.
Hope this helps those owners of Series IV with the T35.
As a side, when we had our T35 gone through at a local tranny shop they did
put in Type F-it's nice to know they knew what they are doing!
