Mine have just the tabs. For what it's worth, it is a big job to take them
off and put them back on. If I recall correctly, I could not get any type
of wrench in there and I had to take out the gas tank cross over tube to
fit a wrench in there - which I was doing anyway. Unless there was some
"factory tool" that was available. Was there a factory bulletin on how to
install the various dealer installed options? If so, does anyone know if
there was one for this one?

Jay,
I think the light you have are the ones I've seen. The guy who had
them said that he'd added them himself and that all SV harnesses are
wired for the option. He has two different pairs on two different
cars. They have stamped steel bodies. The lenses say "MADE IN
ENGLAND" on the bottom edge. One pair has a solid chrome bezel all the
way around the lens. The other has chrome tabs at each end of the
lense which hold it in. I don't think these were factory installed
options (did Rootes have such a thing except for the OD?). Joe
Misuraca, the owner of the cars, seems pretty knowledgeable and he told
me they were dealer installed options. Jarrid, would you know anything
about these?
