I actually have two of the mentioned Sunbeam models: the Scalextrics car,
which is a great slot car set, I've had it since the mid 60's.
Unfortunately, some point in my ownership, I came up with the brilliant
idea of converting the track into a jump (probably sometime in the 70's
around Evil Kineivel's prominence) and would jump the cars up on to my bed,
and sometimes the wall. Fortunately, the yellow Sunbeam Tigers survived
better than the blue TR4s, but not as good as the Mercedes.
I also have the AMT model Sunbeam Tiger, which I have converted into an
Alpine! Or, is that a Tipine?
