I posed the question the other day about a baby blue "Talbot" Alpine that was
in a local shop. The owner found me today. She and her husband were driving
down the highway when she glanced up the side street and saw Olde Alp sitting
in the driveway. She said she caused nearly three traffic accidents getting
turned around to come back and see it. They have recently moved into San
Diego from Tulsa, OK. She was excited to hear that there is a Sunbeam club
here.
The car has only 19,000 miles on it! From the information she heard, it was
bought new in San Diego by an engineer working at Ryan Aeronautics (now
Teledyne Ryan), used daily until stored after his retirement to Oklahoma. She
has had the car for several years and now they have moved it back to its home
town!
Her husband is into Fords - but only reliable ones. He has a 1930 Model A.
