Lawrence,

I don't know of a local stripper near you (my wife will be glad to hear
that!), however here in SW Michigan I have had work done at a place called
"The Stripper". They have done very nice work at a reasonable rate. I spoke
with them recently about dipping my Series V so that I could start the
welding of replacement panels on the car. He said that they would dip the
car strip all rust, rotted metal, paint etc. for a cost of $175. The one
thing he did caution on was that before he would dip it I would have to
make a support and bolt it across the body where the doors would be. His
past experience has taught him that a small convertible like this can
actually fold in half when dipped. Because all rotted metal will disappear
as well, leaving you with who knows what when the car is pulled from the
tank. I plan on going through with this sometime next year when I get in
gear on this project. Well just wanted to share the local guy's
perspective. Good luck.
