It seems he's split his firm into two: the restoration-to-order side, and
the parts sales:
Classic Car Developments / Sunbeam Classic Spares
The Old Surgery, Grimesgate,
Diseworth, Derby, DE74 2QD, England, UK
tel 01332 850 856
fax 01332 858 856
I've bought a good few panels from him, and they've been excellent in
terms of fit / steel quality etc.
Panels seem to be about 15 or 20 % dearer than some other
suppliers, but are worth it, IMHO
I've not bought many other spares from him, but his catalogue lists most things
for Alpines & Tigers. (He also sells other contemporary Rootes stuff, inc.
panels)
N.B.
If you're importing to the States / Canada from UK, ask about VAT tax
disqualification,
it's 17.5% on top of sales to UK and Europe, but not further abroad, I think.
(Encourages UK firms to export....?)
S.C.S.'s listed prices include the VAT, so you may pay less,
but you don't often get what you don't ask for. ;-)
can anybody confirm this? Jeff??
Andy, Glasgow
p.s. Chris D's self-restored series III Alpine is a real stunner.
