I wasn`t understanding you numbers but then I realized this. You are
talking Rootes or Sunbeam numbers aren`t you.
I am talking Lucas numbers - I do only have Lucas Manuals over each
making.
I got them covering only Rootes or Standard & Triumps or Rover or Jaguar
&
Daimler or BMC with pix.
And I do also have big ones that covers all cars fitted with Lucas parts
over each year.
>From my manuals I can see this 1959-63/4 Alpines was originaly fitted with
hornring Lucas #54300226 and 64-> was fitted with 5430816 shared with
Tigers, and later "Sceptre" and "Rapier"
BUT there might be later replacements with other numbers - these I found
was dated pre 1965 - easy to see on boxes and they was looking
BRILLIANT.
I didn`t bring them home - just noted the numbers but will take them
home
next week. I don`t use to buy them out before I have identified and know
of
peoples interrest.
These are rater small ring and has with straight cross bar that are
about
2" wide and goes from center to outer ring - more like a plate that are
slightly curved.
Looks like a very solid ring and the outer ring was very shiny and the
bar
looked to be in an other finish (not shure)
I will give you a better update when they are here.
But my manuals says these are the original supplied form factory between
1959 -1964 but with a note.
" Complete units only serviced by Veichle Manufacturer"
That was if you wanted the whole ass. with top and all with motif.
Will keep you updated - if you could use one - I found two - have a
request
BUT like to split them up to please as many as possible.
