It would be nice to be able to see the approximate color but you wouldn't be
able to be very accurate. Even if you get the color right on your monitor (which
is not difficult) it will end up looking different on every monitor that is used
to view the web page.

My bodyman lent me his Rootes paint chip cards. I thought about scanning
them but never got around to it, partly because colour-matching from
print to screen can be a pain. Maybe I should try?
