I'm planning to bring my 66 SV over from the UK to spend a few weeks
this summer touring your beautiful countries. I haven't decided exactly
when to come over or where to go but it's likely that it'll be sometime
June-July and I'll probably start in Bergen, end up in Gothenberg ('cos
those are the places where the car ferries go to) and maybe catch a few
rays of the midnight sun in between. Anyway I have a few questions
regarding Alpining in Scandinavia that hopefully someone might be able
to answer for me:
1. Do you have an equivalent to our 4-star petrol (97 octane leaded)?
2. Do you really have to drive with your headlights all the time?
3. Are there any local Alpine/classic car parts/service specialists or
owner's clubs that might be worth contacting if the unthinkable happens
while I'm over there?
4. Are there any interesting Alpine or general classic car events going
on around the time I'll be visiting?
5. When do your school holidays start (so that I can avoid them)?
6. How well enforced are your speed limits (I'm not sure how accurate my
speedo is ;-) )?
Any other useful hints & tips would all be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul...
