The Brake Saga Ends -- By the Mystery Remains Unsolved

Listers,

As many of you know I have been going through an 18 month saga with my
Series V brakes. It all started with a spider web type clouding in the
brake fluid. After a British Car shop rebuilt the rear brakes, I began
losing fluid mysteriously. No leads apparent. (And at the time I had
no booster.) Flushing and rebleeding solved the problem for a year.
Then the leaking reappeared. Rebuilt the front brakes and replaced the
master cylinder this time. No leaking, but the new master is the
correct Series V unit -- too much pedal pressure required without a
booster. I guess the old one was from an early Series car. I found a
Girling MkIIB servo for a good price and took it back to the Brit. car
shop to hook it up. Everything worked fine, except -- break fluid
mysteriously disappearing after one commute to work (50 miles round
trip)! Flush, rebleed, and everything seems fine. The booster works
great and no loss in fluid for two days now. I've got my fingers
crossed. Any speculation as to how this could happen?
