It's been a while since I had my baby Barracuda, but as I recall, the later 1725 mounts bolted onto the side of the block in an Arrow, not to a front plate like an earlier Alpine. Putting a slanted engine in an early car is easy, as you just have to use the front plate and mounts. If the engine isn't a very late 1725, it won't have the bosses on the side of the block for the Arrow style mounts, making things quite difficult. I don't imagine it helps, but supposedly Commer van engines had the mount bosses earlier than the cars did. My 67 2500 van has the bosses on the block, while my 66 Alpine does not.
