Overdrives

To those of you interested in the overdrives I had for sale, the 4
synchro unit has been sold. But the two 3 synchro units are still
available. These will bolt up to any Series Alpine, if you don't mind
having a 3 synchro trans. They are not compatible with 4 synchro
transmissions without replacing the mainshaft, which is nearly
impossible to find.

Here is how they appeared in my original post:

I have three Laycock-DeNormanville overdrive units with transmissions
for sale. Fair warning, I am asking top dollar.
They all appear in near new condition and were represented to me as the
following:

1. Laycock-DeNormanville overdrive unit rebuilt in England-never used
since rebuild with 3 synchro trans (no bell housing, no shift
lever). $1100 obo.

2. Laycock-DeNormanville overdrive unit rebuilt in England-never used
since rebuild with 3 synchro trans (no bell housing, no shift
lever). $1100 obo.

3. Laycock-DeNormanville overdrive unit-used from low mileage wreck in
England,
4 synchro trans (no bell housing, no shift lever). $900 obo. SOLD

All are being sold "as is." Inspection shows that all appear to be in
excellent condition (i.e., clean filter, internals & external, solenoid
works). Sorry, no overdrive switches available. Shipped to a U.S.
supplier from England a few years ago. Trans must go with the unit and
buyer covers shipping.

Serious inquiries only, please. Reasonable offers accepted.

I have since had them checked out by a mechanic and both are in "as
new" condition.

Christopher
