Yes, I did check out the other US supplier listed in that post some time ago. I believe they were in Glendale, CA. They no longer carry Superlite wheels.
I will probably follow your suggestion, if local sources don't pan out, and call the manufacturer to complain. There really is no reason why I, or anyone, should be treated the way I have been. I'm amazed the guy stays in business.
