Does "OD" appear in your VIN#?
It is super common for Overdrive equipped cars to have been changed from the 4.22 gear ratio to the 3.89 gear ratio.
If the 1969 mfgr is correct, that part would be from a US alpine GT (Arrow based Rapier).
