fast back Alpines?

OK, I show my ignorance. I thought that Sumbeam Alpines went out of production in '67 with the SV model. Today I stopped by a small shop which has only recently opened that does restorations - most of their stuff is old Ford/Chevy street rods - to inquire if they would like to put in new floor pans in one of my parts cars. The owner quizzed me about what type of car it was and then showed me a '69 Alpine sedan that could be described as a fast back. He said it had lots of Chrysler parts and it was ugly enough to have been designed by Plymouth. Now today on the list I see a '69 fastback mentioned. What gives here?
