Moving your mechanics over to the SII sounds great except.....
One of the real beauties of the earlier cars was that the front suspension bushings were all solid steel on brass ect.
If you move your suspension over, you will have to bring your own X member, and in the process, bring over the rubber bushings.
If there is anything that you ought to leave as SIII stock, it would be the front suspension.
There is a LOT to be said for the solid feel and total lack of bushing deflection on the earlier cars.
