Pointy Fin Convert

Ok, call my hypocritical, call me whatever you want. I just went and saw a
Series II that was on Jarrid's list as "95% restored, excellent running
condition, $2,000 obo." First, I realize Jarrid only copied what was on
the net. So, this has nothing to do with him. Second, the car was more
like 60% restored and it all had to be done over. But, the fins looked
pretty good. Am I sick? Anyway, I never did like the small fins from the
side - sort of looked like a big flat piece of paper (no offense to the
small finnians). But, the pointy fins gave the car that nifty flowing
look. So, if the Series III I found, which I am going to see on Saturday,
is as straight as I hear it is, and I can find all the early extra pieces
(its just a shell), I am probably going to go with it. I did also find a
Series II that is also really straight, but was disassembled to restore -
so there is no telling what is there or missing.
Does anyone know if the Series III-V seats will bolt straight in, or if
something needs to be adjusted? I also keep my seat all the way back on
the Series V. I am worried that I might have a problem on the earlier
cars. We shall see.
