I'm in about the same position. You don't say whether you did the disassembly. I did mine, took lots of pictures, and kept a journal. I'll just walk back through both sets of records as I go. Also, having disassembled the car, I got to understand its construction pretty well.

My Alpine Journal is on my web site, along with the other resources I'll use. As a general rule, everything is built from the walls out: electrical and hydraulic lines before engine, wiper motor and blower before dash face, etc.
