I should clarify, the input shaft did not go. The yoke on the front part of the driveshaft that slides into the rear of the transmission is what went. And, maybe I used the wrong term by saying "main shaft". I meant the output shaft that ends at the end of the transmission and mates to the front part of the driveshaft.
